Our iPads for Seniors Program has been funded by the Victorian Government Department of Health.

By pairing school students and seniors through the technology of iPads, the project builds the seniors' confidence, knowledge and skills in using this technology. Their new skills can improve the independence of the older person and increase their access to a wide range of services related to improving their health and social and emotional wellbeing.

Participants are trained to use email, take photos and videos, get directions, browse the internet and download apps, music, magazines, recipes, health information and books. The iPads for Seniors Program is based on a successful demonstration project undertaken by Bayside City Council.

Project hubs will be centred in the Cities of Glen Eira, Stonnington and Port Phillip. To bring our young and older people together, we are partnering with:
